Don’t let high gas prices spoil your summer getaway:
Travel with “The Drive TV” on the NRB Network!
Want more out of your reality show? Then be sure to watch “The Drive TV.” Airing Thursday nights, “The Drive TV” isn’t your average reality show. It doesn’t shy away from the tough questions in life, but presents them in a fun, inspiring, and culturally relevant way. And, it presents a “positive, biblically based alternative to many of today’s reality shows that depict youth in a negative light.”
”The Drive TV” captures the adventures of four young men, Chris, Kyle, Steve, and Aaron, as they take a “reality” road trip across the United States and destinations beyond. Chris Molitor, one of the four, is the show’s host. Together, the guys travel around the nation, sharing their experiences on-camera.
In each episode, the fellows meet up with unique people and discover the local “flavor” of the location, be it downtown San Diego, the Grand Canyon in Arizona, or deep in the heart of San Antonio, Texas. They engage in exciting activities like a helicopter ride in Las Vegas, coming face-to-face with a 14-foot alligator on a swamp in New Orleans, bungee-jumping, and many other thrilling, youth-oriented exploits.
But more than just a show about youthful adventures and good-natured fun, these young men exemplify the role of true Christians. They demonstrate that real manhood isn’t defined by swearing, excessive drinking, or any of the usual “coming of age” behavior that the world defines as manly, but rather by a man’s inner character. For example, they show that moral strength is built by choosing to do what’s right, not by ignoring your conscience. While camping out West, the guys realize that they could sneak into a campsite for free because no one’s watching, but instead they choose to pay, because it’s “the right thing to do.”
And at each destination, the foursome interview folks who share amazing stories of how they've overcome some of life's
greatest challenges, including depression, homelessness, abuse, drug addiction, and more. Meet Chris, the 26-year-old homeless man from Las Vegas, or Trace Bundy, the incredible guitarist from Boulder, Colorado. Their powerful stories are sure to
inspire and capture your heart.
The final segment of each show, called the “Reflection,” is where the fellows engage in a conversational dialogue to summarize and highlight the best, funniest, and most touching moments of the show. They show God’s perspective on the events of that episode. And without being preachy or pushy, they deliver a powerful, easy-to-understand message. This teaches young viewers about the relevance of God’s truth and love, while encouraging them to examine the quality and direction of their lives.
Not just for kids, this entertaining and educational series allows viewers of all ages – from toddlers to seniors – to relate. So come along with us on Thursday nights for a fun and high-adventure “road trip” that will reenergize your Christian walk!
