LIVES THAT HONOR GOD:

Stories of faith and family from Franklin Springs Family Media

There’s a new reason to tune in to the NRB Network on Wednesday nights! Starting on September 24, 2008, the network will present the Franklin Springs Family Hour featuring the powerful and uplifting stories of historical figures, accomplished musicians and everyday people who chose to honor God with their lives. Each hour long documentary will air at 9 pm ET. NRB viewers can expect to experience a new film each week packed with fresh inspiration that will both entertain and challenge them to maximize their own lives for the glory of God.

First to air is “A Journey Home”. This award-winning documentary tells the story of Tommy Waller – husband and father of eleven – who in response to the demands of family took a bold step in a new direction. “A Journey Home” follows Tommy, his wife Sherri and their remarkable family on a journey from 80 hour work weeks to a radical new lifestyle where family is first.

Airing later in the series is Still Standing: The Stonewall Jackson Story”. This highly-produced documentary takes a revealing look at the life and legacy of the Civil War General. A well-known and undeniably controversial figure in American history, Jackson’s commitment to his Christian faith remains virtually unknown. Complete with narrative from well-known historians, “Still Standing” will surprise viewers as they learn the untold story.

Franklin Springs Family Media was founded by Ken Carpenter, an award-winning producer, director and the father of eight homeschoolers, and is firmly committed to producing quality family films. Carpenter describes the films as more than just “family safe” – but “family encouraging and edifying”. "We're approaching television in a little different way,” he said. Yes, we want to appeal to families, but not just in terms of making them laugh, or giving them an engaging story. With the Franklin Springs Family Hour, we're designing shows that add to the fabric of a well- functioning, God-honoring family life - something that's rarely seen on television," Carpenter explained. It’s that approach that makes Franklin Springs a perfect addition to the NRB Network’s programming.

Viewers will not want to miss these highly impactful films. Wednesday nights are sure to become “family night” with the NRB Network and Franklin Springs Family Media.
